Step 2: Decide if you would like to pay in 1 lump sum, 3-payments over 90 days or monthly. If you pay in 1-lump sum you only need to submit a membership application. If you choose the 3-payment plan option print this form and submit with a membership application. To get enrolled in the monthly ($50-$55/per month) billing program print this form and submit with a membership application.
Step 3: Pay online for your membership below by choosing a Builder, Associate or Affiliate membership. If you would rather not pay online, you can include your credit card information on your application. Scroll down to learn more about the differences between Builder, Associate and Affiliate memberships and what a PAC donation is.

Renew your membership online
Auto Renewal option - take the worry and hassle out of making sure your membership dues are paid. This feature will bill your credit card immediately for your current dues and then bill the same card annually. Call the CTHBA office if your membership has already lapsed.
Auto Renewal (Builder) - $630/year
Auto Renewal (Associate) - $530/year
Description of Memberships:
BUILDER MEMBER: Any individual who is engaged or employed by a firm/corporation (licensed by
the State of SC) in the business of building or remodeling homes, apartments,
schools, commercial, industrial or other structures normally related and
appurtenant to a community, or in land development, and who subscribes to
the Code of Ethics of this Association, and is of good character and business
reputation.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER: Any individual who is engaged or employed by a firm/corporation in a trade,
industry or profession related to building and consistent with the objectives of this
Association, and who subscribes to the Code of Ethics of this Association, and is
of good character and business reputation.
AFFILIATE MEMBER: Any individual who is an employee or co-worker of a Builder or Associate member.
Affiliate members will receive emails, the Toolbox newsletter and can earn SPIKE
credits. Affiliate members cannot chair a committee or vote in HBA elections.
Optional PAC Donation:
The South Carolina Builders Political Action Committee (PAC) is a non-partisan committee that provides financial support to political candidates and their campaigns for election to local and state offices. Support is given to candidates who are friends of the building industry.
CTHBA Membership Dues include a voluntary $15.00 contribution
to the SC Builders Political Action Council (PAC) to be used for
political purposes. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal,
simply deduct $15.00 from the membership dues listed above.
Code of Ethics
-Members shall constantly seek to provide better values for the customers they serve.
-Members shall at all times share their knowledge with fellow members and the public in the best interest of those they serve.
-Members shall not obtain any business by means of fraudulent statements or by use of implications unwarranted by fact or reasonable probability.
-Members shall comply, both in spirit and letter, with rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for health, safety and progress of the community.
Members shall not perform or cause to be performed any act which would tend to reflect on or bring into disrepute any part of the industry served by this Association. |
