Ryan Butler Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund has been established in memory of the enduring legacy and impact of Ryan Butler, co-founder of SHELTER Custom-Built Living. His passion for the home building industry in the Lowcountry and all those that he encountered are just pieces that encapsulate his impact. Ryan was an impeccable craftsman, advocate, and champion of the Association and a mentor and friend to countless individuals throughout the industry and Charleston community.
This fund will support students graduating from high school in Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester Counties in South Carolina who demonstrate financial need and fall into at least one of the following criteria:
- Enrolled in an accredited construction trade program in South Carolina and pursuing either a certificate, associate's, or bachelor's degree.
- Attending Ryan's alma mater, Bowling Green State University.
- The child of a member in good standing of the Charleston Home Builders Association.
